Food_safety.jpg Food safety involves the admininstration of the Food Act 2001 and Food Regulations 2002. Officers regularly and routinely inspect food premises based on a risk classification system. Inspections determine and monitor compliance with the legislation. Complaints regarding food premises, food handling and allegations of food poisoning are investigated and handled by the Council's Environmental Health Services team.
