The increasing popularity of Point Turton as a destination rather than an overnight stop has seen the District Council of Yorke Peninsula develop a 10-year plan for the town's caravan park in consultation with long-term mangers Malcolm and Jenny Clifton.
Holidaymakers staying at major caravan parks within the District Council of Yorke Peninsula area can now enjoy free wireless internet access due to a partnership with the council and Internode.
Point Turton Caravan Park and a conversion of the old Coobowie school grounds will benefit from $50,000 in SA Government funding from the Australian Tourism Commission Development Fund.
