Numerous approved bush camping sites exist throughout the Yorke Peninsula and are situated at some of the most beautiful scenic coastal areas, which are accessible by conventional vehicles. Details are listed in the Camping Guide to South Australia which is available from Tourism SA. The following camping locations do not require camping fees to be paid, however a camping permit is still required; The Gap, The Bamboos, Tiparra Rocks, Wauraltee Beach and Barkers Rocks. All other locations require a permit and the payment of camping fees. These permits can be obtained from:

Burners Beach (No. 6) and Gleesons Landing (No. 11) camping areas, have toilet facilities. All other camping sites have no toilet facilities. Gleesons Landing also has a water pump available for the use of bathing and washing, however is not fit for drinking. Camp Fire InformationYou are permitted to light open camp fires providing you have a four (4) metre clearance around the proposed camp fire, prior to lighting. Strictly no fires to be lit during a total fire ban. For more information on Fire Regulations and camp fire conditions please click here. Excluded Camping LocationsPlease note that camping is prohibited at Daly Heads. There is an alternative camping site approximately 4km away at Gleesons Landing that can be utilised.
