Quality Assurance Print E-mail
The District Council of Yorke Peninsula is committed to providing quality services to all customers and has held quality certification across its operations since June, 2001.

Council was assessed against ISO 9001:2008 standard, and was the first Council in South Australia to have its full scope of operations assessed in this way, and was the second council in Australia to be assessed under this standard by an accredited auditor.

Quality Assurance means that Council has refined its system to ensure that all its services are delivered in a consistent manner and at the same standard across the entire Council area. A Customer Request System (CSR) to record all suggestions and complaints from ratepayers have been established, and it is Council's aim to reduce the response time in these instances.

Complaints and suggestions received will still be considered against budget availability and Council's strategic direction. In some cases requests will not be able to be met, if funding etc is not available, but generally Council will be endeavoring to address and comply with requests where possible. Council's ongoing commitment to quality service delivery will provide a solid foundation to build on continuous improvement.

Any customers interested in gaining more information on Council's commitment to quality service provision should contact the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Andrew Cameron, on 8832 0000 or Council's Quality Representative Mrs Jackie Reddaway, on 8832 0000.
