Fire Permits Print E-mail

Conditional Permit Burning Season is 15th February to 30th April.

When do I need a permit?
A permit to light a fire in the open in the Fire Danger Season is required when any burning off is undertaken and when any fire is lit on the ground.

Where can I get a permit?

A permit can be obtained from Council by contacting one of the four offices or seek advice direct from the council's Fire Prevention Officer

The conditions under which the permit is issued must be complied with. The Yorke Peninsula District Bushfire Prevention Committee has set the conditions which must be adhered to when lighting a fire under permit.

Once you have received your permit, it is still a requirement for you to contact Council on a daily basis if you are burning off
