Position Details
Closing Date: Monday, 20 February 2012 - 5:00 pm
The Job: Undertaking a school based traineeship in conjunction to undertaking a Nationally Recognised Qualification in the appropriate field.
Term: Up to 22 months.
Position Hours: 1 to 2 days a week (attending school the other days).
The Person: The successful applicant should be bright and cheerful, have good communication skills and want to develop themselves to further their career prospect.
Wage: School Based Traineeships ($ per hour) Up to Year 11 - $ 10.69 which is inclusive of a 20% casual loading. Year 12 - $ 11.72 per hour which is inclusive of a 20% casual loading.
Location: The following School Based Traineeships are available:
- Information Technology, based at Minlaton;
- Harvest Corner (Tourism), based at Minlaton;
- Mechanical/Automotive, based at Warooka Depot; or
- Construction and Maintenance, based at either Maitland, Minlaton, Yorketown or Warooka.

Term: Fixed Term Contract for six months.
The Job : Contribute to, and work within a team environment by providing a full range of efficient and effective receptionist services to Council. Duties include general reception, receipting and data entry services whilst assisting with administrative and general clerical duties as required.
Location: Minlaton Office, however appointment is to the Council, therefore the successful applicant may be required to undertake duties at other locations.
Position Hours : 48 hours per fortnight (0.6fte) (some out of hours work may required)

The Person :

Salary : Level 2 – starting at $ 48,041.48 p.a. plus statutory superannuation. (In accord with the District Council of Yorke Peninsula Municipal Officers Enterprise Agreement No 2, 2010).
Medical : A compulsory pre-employment medical examination must be undertaken

Position Details
Closing Date : Monday, 20 February, 2012 - 5:00 pm
The Job : Provide relief, temporary placement within various offices of Council to assist in meeting our short term needs whilst staff are absent from duty. Relief positions are generally receptionist positions, but may involve other clerical duties.
Location: The Clerical Officer of the Casual Pool may be required to relieve at the various Council offices. As part of your application, you should identify the preferred office(s), days of the week available and times or periods of unavailability.
Position Hours : No set hours or times of work. This is dependent on the applicants availability and Councils requirement to fill a short term placement.
The Person : The successful applicant should be self-motivated with customer service/ reception experience. They need to be flexible, willing and able to work with short-term notice on any weekday, as required.
Salary : Level 1 – starting at a casual rate of $ 24.47 per hour which is inclusive of casual loading, (In accordance with the District Council of Yorke Peninsula Municipal Officers Enterprise Agreement No 2, 2010).
Medical : A compulsory pre-employment medical examination must be undertaken
