The Job
Co-ordinate and manage the Planning, Development Control, Environmental, Community Services and Public Health and Safety functions of the Council in accordance with Council's policies and objectives. Lead, motivate, develop and manage departmental staff, while building and maintaining positive relationships and enhancing morale. Be a key contributor to Council’s Senior Management Team.
Position Details
This is a full time, 5 year performance-based contract position. Salary classified as Senior Officer Level 6, plus over award payment depending on experience, in accord with the District Council of Yorke Peninsula/Municipal Officers Union Collective Agreement No 1, 2007 and Policies & Procedures as amended from time to time.
Remuneration is negotiable, depending upon qualifications and experience, likely commencing at around 0,000, including 12% superannuation, private use of a vehicle, mobile phone, uniform allowance and professional subscriptions. Additional benefits include relocation costs, professional development and salary sacrifice of superannuation.
This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual to take on the responsibility of providing leadership and support to key Council officers, while managing Council’s Planning, Development, Environmental and Community Services in a very progressive, Quality Assured, Award winning regional Council.
The Person
You will be a committed professional who possess the ability to facilitate and support positive relationships with staff, demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and work ethics and be motivated and enthusiastic.
Location
The position will primarily operate from Yorketown; however appointment is to the Council, therefore the successful applicant may be required to undertake duties at other locations.
